Vídeň má své kouzlo a to zejména o Vánoce. Tentokrát jsem ale vídeňský víkend pojala i více turisticky (nejen Vánočně po trzích). Uvědomila jsem si, že toho totiž o Vídni jinak moc nevím. Člověk zná místa trhů skoro nazpaměť, ale ten zbytek spíš jen obchází. Určitě je toho ještě spousta na objevení, ale přidávám pár tipů, co byste určitě neměli nevynechat.

Hofburg
Bývalý císařský palác byl postaven kolem 13. století, ale proslavil se nejvíce až za císařovny a uherské královny Alžběty Bavorské (více známé jako královna Sissy), manželky rakouského císaře Františka Josefa I. Jsou tu momentálně 3 expozice, které si můžete prohlédnout: a) Sissy Museum, b) císařské apartmány a c) Silver collection. Rozhodně doporučuji projít celé expozice s elektronickým průvodcem. Je to velice interaktivní a zároveň je to moc dobře namluvené!
Záměrem této výstavy byl zejména osobní život Sissy, její postoj k tradicím, kráse a poezii. Nachází se tu třeba jedny z mála jejích dochovaných letních šatů. Jsou tu ale i repliky jejích svatebních a korunovačních šatů a třeba i replika šatů pro truchlení po smrti jejího syna Rudolfa. Je to hrozně zajímavé místo a hlavně zajímavý příběh. Co mě zaujalo asi nevíc, byla rutina Sissy s jejími vlasy. Měla je tak dlouhé, že je každý den musela rozčesávat asi 3 hodiny. Během toho se učila řecky nebo jiným jazykům. Vlasovou masku jí vyráběli z koňaku. Další zajímavostí z císařských komnat byla informace o hodování. Společné večeře trvaly pouze 45min a podávalo se 9-13 chodů. Pokud císař dojedl, nikdo už nesměl pokračovat. Mohla bych pokračovat dál, ale bude lepší, když si to projdete sami. Stojí to za to!

Café Central
Dveře nám otevírá takový Winston Churchill (byl mu opravdu hrozně podobný). Prostory uvnitř jsou obrovské. Dostali jsme stolek v odlehlém křídle kavárny, která se tím ukázala ještě jako větší, než se původně jevila. Trochu jsme se přesunuli v čase, tím jak na mě celá kavrána a její design působí. Bylo tu úplně plno, i přes to to ale všechno zvládají bravůrně. Pokud jste nerozhodní ve výběru dezertů, tak tady budete mít zajisté hodně velký problém. Ve vitríně, která vede dokola, najdete nespočet lákavých dezerů.

Kunsthistorisches Museum
Ta obří budova po levé straně na Maria Theresien Platz se nedá přehlédnout. Muzeum umění tu má velmi dobré umístění, i přes to tu není moc plno, což je dobře. Davy lidí si spíše teď užívají Vánoční trhy. Monumentální vstupní hala mě naprosto uchvátila, až jsem tu stála dobrých 15min a jen jsem si prohlížela, jak obrovská je. Mohutné mramorové schody a sloupy člověka dovedou do hlavního patra společně s velkými sochami lvů. Nad vstupem se nachází pár obrazů od G. Klimta, což je můj oblíbený umělec, a různé chodby na podlaží navádí návšětvníky na aktuální exhibice. Zároveň se tu nachází i muzejní kavárna, která je umístěna pod takovou obrovskou vyzdobenou kopulí. Je tu krásný výhled na náměstí! V muzeu teď právě probíhá výstava P.P. Rubens, což je jeden z nejznámějších barokních malířů ze 17. století. Jsou tu například vystaveny obrazy: Paridův soud (1638) nebo Hlava Medusy (1617).

Palmenhouse

Na doporučení mířím na tohle místo, které se nachází pár kroků od Muzea umění. Čtu si, že v roce 1901 byl rakouský architekt Friedrich Ohmann zaúkolován stavbou tohoto honosného palmového domu v zahradách paláce Hofburg. Budova, která je postavena ve stylu Art Nouveau z obloukového skla a jadeitově zeleného železa, je pravděpodobně tou největším na světě. Zvenku to vypadá jako obří skleník nebo jako zmenšený Grand Palais v Paříži. Uvnitř se nachází motýlí dům a restaurace. Rázem jsem se z Vánoční Vídně přesunula do tropů.
Café Hawelka
Další kavárna. Opět si čtu, že pokud by stěny této kavárny mohly mluvit, pravděpodobně by začaly vyprávět příběhy o všech myslitelích a umělcích, kteří se tu scházeli u vratkých dřevěných stolů od pozdních 30tých let. Tmavé a flekaté dřevo pokrývá strop i stěny, které jsou přelepené odlepujícísemi filmovými plakáty a jinými akcemi ve Vídni. Dávám si Vídeňskou klasiku - kávu a jablečný štrůdl. Přináší ho s malou skleničkou vody, na které je položená lžička. Z návštěvy Hofburgu se člověk dozvěděl, že tohle je symbol toho, že je voda čerstvá.
Opera
Vídeňská opera má pro mě kouzelný význam zejména prvního ledna, když na obrazovkách zní novoroční koncert. Prosluslý je ale hlavně baletem, jehož představení se tu konají skoro denně. Proto také uvidíte po městě několik lidí s letáčky, kteří vás budou zvát na představení a koupi lístků.
Hundertwasser House
Bláznivě barevný dům, který nelze přehlédnout. Právě tohle místo je jedno z nějznámějších míst umělce F. Hundertwasser z roku 1985. Dům měl původně sloužit jako ubytování pro sociálně slabší. Dnes je to populární vídeňská turistická atrakce.
Metro
Pokud vás baví umění, rozhodně se projeďte linkou metra.
