// Luckily, France is a place where people understand what does it mean when you ask for a big car. Viano is ready for us so we can begin our French journey! Our next stop is Château la Coste. We’re on our way to a vineyard. It sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?
Vinice zkombinovaná s uměním a architekturou. Už ten příjezd je monumentální. Je to opravdu úchvatné. Restaurace na vodě, všude samé zajímavé sochy a spousta vína. Trochu se bavíme, protože nás obsluhuje číšník, který vypadá jako M. Fourcade. Tak buď je to on a jen si tu vydělává mimo biatlonovou sezónu a nebo je to jeho zapomenutý bratr. Jinak si to neumíme vysvětlit.

The restaurant looks like it’s floating on the water surface. We have noticed something while sitting there. Literally, the waiter looks like M. Fourcade. It’s either him and he’s just making some extra money off biathlon season or it’s his forgotten brother. We can’t find a better explanation because they look so alike!
Mají tu dokonce i galerii, kde je právě poměrně intimní a nic neskrývající výstava s názvem Surrounded by You od Tracey Emin. Procházíme si i vinici a její designové kousky instalované různě po okolí. Nejzajímavější kousky byly rozhodně: Drop od Tom Shannon, Music Pavilion od Frank O. Gehry, Crouching Spider od Louise Bourgeois a Mathematical Model 012 od Hiroshi Sugimoto.
// They even have an art gallery here. Unbelievable. There’s an exhibition called Surrounded by You by Tracey Emin which is very raw and intimate. We are also wandering around the vineyard to see the significant art and design outdoor collection. I must say that one of the most interesting sculptures and architectural pieces of work were definitely: a Drop by Tom Shannon, Music Pavilion by Frank O. Gehry, Crouching Spider by Louise Bourgeois and Mathematical Model 012 by Hiroshi Sugimoto.
Vyrážíme dál. Teď nás totiž čeká ta podstatná část dne. Míříme do města Salon-de-Provence, kde dnes dojíždí 19. etapa Tour de France. Na dojezd se přijelo podívat spoustu lidí a celé město je vyfiknuté do žluté barvy. Timing máme skvělý. Půl hodinka do příjezdu konvoje a taková hodinka do pelotonu. Město je malinké, ale žije to tu. Našli jsme si místo hned u zatáčky a čekáme na ně. Projíždí tu dodávky se suvenýry a spousta reklamních Škodovek. Čas utekl rychle a za velkého potlesku přijíždí “tête de la course”, žlutý trikot a celý peloton. Byl to neskutečný zážitek! Sice člověk viděl skoro jen šmouhu, jak jeli rychle, ale ještě před týdnem bych vůbec netušila, že je mimo televizní obrazovku uvidím i naživo.
// Our journey continues. The main part of the day is about to begin. We are heading to Salon-de-Provence which is the final destination of the 19th stage of Tour de France 2017. Even though the town is really small it’s so alive! So many people came here to see the finish line and all the cyclists, and even the town is all dressed up to yellow colours. The timing of our arrival is great. It’s still half an hour until the convoy’s arrival and around one hour to peloton’s arrival. We found a nice spot just around the corner where we’re waiting for the cyclists. Meanwhile, several vans with souvenirs are passing by as well as many promotional Skoda cars before the main part of the event.
The time has finally come! The “tête de la course”, the yellow jersey and the whole peloton reached the final destination and they all got a big round of applause. It was hard to see them as they were cycling way too fast but it was an incredible experience! I never thought that I'd be able to see them live.
Za další dvě hodiny v autě jsme dorazili do Carcassonne, kde jsme další 2 noci. Dávám si Kir na baru a jdeme spát.
// We have reached our final destination Carcassonne within 2 hours where we are going to spend the next two days. I’m having a Kir in the bar and then it’s time to go to sleep.
