Ikonické sloupy na tomto náměstí, které nesmíte přehlédnout, jsou designovým kouskem od Jaume Plensa se soškami sedících nebo klečících mužů. Reprezentují 7 kontinentů světa a svítí ve tmě. Nejlepší výhled na celé náměstí je z kavárny, která se nachází v posledním patře Galeries Lafayette.

3. Promenade des Anglais
7km dlouhá promenáda je asi tím nejznámějším místem v Nice. Pokud se chcete jen projít nebo si jít zaběhat, je to skvělé místo! Zároveň má promenáda svoje kouzlo, když se na ní projdete v noci, protože celá krásně svítí. Cestou jistě narazíte na spoustu umělců a když Vám zbyde čas, tak si určitě zajděte zaplavat do té jedinečné tyrkysové vody.

Tenhle 3D nápis se tu objevil poměrně nedávno po tom, co se tu stal teoristický útok v roce 2016. Lidé se shromáždili a začali používat právě #ILoveNICE, aby ukázali, že i přes tento brutální útok jsou stále pohromadě. Proto tu později vyrostl tento nápis, aby to lidé měli stále na očích a sdíleli solidaritu a lásku. Má to hodně silnou energii. Mějte se rádi!

Tak jako všude jinde, v Nice najdete spoustu dobrého jídla. Zejména teda makronky, zmrzlinu nebo salát niçoise (jak jinak). Ještě zpět k té zmrzlině - zajděte do Vielle Ville do zmrzlinářství Fenocchio. Mají tam výběr zmrzlin, o kterých se vám ani nezdálo (od bylinkových, ovocných, květinových po třeba zeleninové). Zároveň se u toho nachází i známý uzoučký dům.

6. Vielle Ville
První fotka s tou frontou lidí je to zmrzlinářství Fenocchio, o kterém jsem psala výš. A hned druhá fotka je ten úzký dům. Obecně je takhle část města asi tou nejživější a nejzajímavější, protože se tu nachází spousta lokálních restaurací a míst k sezení. O program a atmosféru je tu postaráno díky místním umělcům.

Zajímavý a monumentální 32-metrový památník se nachází za zatáčkou při příjezdu do přístavu Lympia. Je to památník všem obyvatelům Nice, kteří zemřeli během první světové války. Pokud už půjdete tímto směrem, tak se podívejte i k přístavu a okolním domům. Je to velmi fotogenické místo.

If you decide to go this way, you should stop by the port as this place is very photogenic with all the houses around.
Pokud ale můžu doporučit ještě nějaká místa, tak rozhodně navštivte Course Saleya, když se tu koná květinový/ ovocný trh (většinou každou středu ráno) - to je jedno z toho nejlepšího tady. Také vystoupejte ten kopec na konci promenády do Parc de la Colline du Château. Je tu zaručeně ten nejlepší výhled na Nice (zkuste to se západem slunce a už nebudete chtít odjet).
//There's much more to do and see in Nice for sure. This was only our one and only day in here because we've already been in Nice before for a longer time so we were just wandering around the city we already knew. But we all love it here.
But if I can recommend you more places then definitely do visit Course Saleya when there's a flower and fruit market (usually every Wednesday morning), that's the best thing in here. Also climb up the hill to the Parc de la Colline du Château, there's the best view of Nice for sure (try it with a sunset and you won't want to leave, ever).
